Bill Tyler

A native of western New York, Bill Tyler earned a Bachelor of Music-Performance degree from Memphis State University and a Master of Music-Performance degree from the University of Wyoming. He was a concerto contest winner at both schools. Past performing experience includes the Cheyenne Symphony and the Abilene (Texas) Philharmonic.
Bill retired from the FAA in 2010, after working for over 25 years as an air traffic controller. He keeps busy these days playing horn as a member of the Greenville Symphony, the Fayetteville Symphony, the Carolina Philharmonic (Pinehurst, NC), and as a substitute with the Winston Salem Symphony and the Western Piedmont Symphony.
